This page was updated using KompoZer version 0.7.10. KompoZer is a free, open source web authoring tool that works on every major operating system! I'm not sure why the Z in its name is capitalized.

Inserting an Image

The following image was inserted using KompoZer's image button. KompoZer also prompted me for alternate text when I inserted the image, which is nice. Otherwise web developers might be unaware of the need for alt text, or might forget to add it. This image is 708x354 pixels, but it's being displayed at half that size (354x177 pixels) because I modified the image's width and height properties. Of course, the user still has to download the entire image so it would be better if I actually resized the image using graphics software.

What else can KompoZer do?

1. It can create a numbered or bulleted list, like this one.
2. It can add emphasis to text.
3. It can add strong emphasis to text.
4. It can add tables, but it's difficult to make them accessible.
