Editing software – Vegas Video

Prepare a new project

• Set program defaults, like capture directory 
• Create project file & save in appropriate location
• Connect camera to computers

Capture Video

• Make sure captured video will be saved to appropriate location
• Put camera in safe position while it will be capturing (ie. not on edge of desk
• Don’t use computer while capturing

Editing

• Use S key to split track
• Know how to use transitions between shots
• Know how to import audio 
• Know how to adjust audio levels
• Know how to import graphics & still pictures

Rendering & Printing to tape

• Render file to appropriate location
• Print to tape
