Picture Frame Effect

This is an attempt to recreate an effect seen in a TV commercial. Click here for my example.

(1) Record the clip with just a frame.

(2) Duplicate the clip on a second video track.

(3) Find the spot on the top track where the frame is in front of your face, just before it begins to move away. Split. Delete the preceding portion of the clip. Insert Video Envelope>Event Velocity, right click and set the velocity to 0%.

(4) Make sure the Sync Cursor button is checked.

(5) Put a check next to Mask in the pan/crop window. Click the four corners of picture frame.

(6) Use keyframes to make the mask in the top layer follow the picture frame in the bottom layer.

I used a lot of keyframes in my example.
